I forgot to mention that it’s de-lurking week.
I’m trying to break my record from last year (a whole two comments!!) so if you’re still hanging around despite my absence and all my bitching and moaning, feel free to say hi.
Also, if you know of a way to fast forward through the first trimester of pregnancy (or sixteen weeks, if my last pregnancy was any indication of how long this misery will last), share the knowledge. I will be eternally grateful (as will my husband, my friends, my son, my relatives, my fellow shoppers at Stop and Shop who are not fond of the dry heaving ....)
Hola chica!

Delurking! Also, I wanted to add that I found lemonade or anything lemony extremely helpful in dealing with the nausea. Also, apparently anything ginger (candied, ginger tea, etc) works wonders but I can't say for certain since I don't like the taste of it at the best of times.

Things that helped me with nausea with this pregnancy:
Altoids
Ginger snaps
But then the dentist freaked out when I told her I was regularly eating Altoids to combat nausea since they will rot your teeth out of your head if you eat them excessively. When she asked how many I ingesting a day, I said, "Two to three" and she said, "TINS?" and I said, "Uh... no, two to three actual mints a day." and she said, "Oh. Never mind then"

I like Pam's dentist's reaction...I can totally see the look on her face when she said "Tins?!" Classic.
Sorry! Back to you!
Don't want to depress you, but it's different for everyone, but I could not get rid of the nausea...it just went away one day. So no assvice from me. Though my mother was constantly throwing saltines at me. A friend told me carbonated beverages helped, but I was afraid to drink caffeine and ginger ale didn't seem to appealing to me. Let me know if you try those.
:)

Oh, I have assy assvice. (Even assier considering I suffered from very light morning sickness and never actually tried this.) My SIL, who was pregnant 4 times, swears by the pressure-point bracelets to ease morning sickness.
Here's wishing you a speedy first trimester!

Hello! I just posted my advice on your previous post. Could your husband go to the Stop-and-Shop for you??
